In Case of Emergency:

As a Commercial Property Manager, here is what you should do if a tenant or any other person claims to be affected by pesticides at one of your properties served by Pestgon.

First, contact Pestgon to learn if any pesticides have been used on the property recently. Pestgon will readily give you full documentation of any pesticides used on the property for the past 90 days. That usually proves to be sufficient.

Second, (only if necessary) call MedNet, a public service provided by the professional members of PCOC. Identify yourself as a client of Pestgon, Incorporated. A qualified toxicologist will be available to assist you. Or, call the County Health Department.

Third, if the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, or if it is truly necessary, as in the case of a serious pesticide emergency, please contact the following:

Orange County has reported 85 infected birds this year, with its first find Jan. 14. Riverside County has reported 16, while Los Angeles County has logged seven. Although Imperial County has not reported a dead infected bird this year, pools of infected mosquitoes have been confirmed in that region.

Bee

Across the county we are seeing an increase in pest activity especially bees. Be on the alert for swarms moving thru and establishing hives on your properties. It doesn't take long for an established hive to begin producing honey which greatly complicates the removal process.

We will be updating this page regularly with new tools and information that will make your job as a commercial property manager easier.

Pesticide Disclosure Notice

The Right to Know and disclosure laws of California require that both the pest control company and the property manager must disclose to each tenant any pesticide chemicals used on the property. Print your own Pesticide Disclosure Notice and use it to inform your tenants of the chemicals we use to treat your property.
